RIP - loved his work on Strontium Dog. I think he drew the first story with Durham Red which was when I started reading 2000AD, so sticks in the memory.

Grew up with his artwork. Basically learned to draw by copying his stuff.

Just ordered myself a copy of his 2000AD colouring book, seemed appropriate- it's 3 years in the cubes if you colour outside the lines though

Well that sucks. Guess I know what to fill my reading gap with, have case files 1-3 sitting for a rainy day.

Absolutely loved his work

Is the username a happy coincidence? (yes I'm aware he had nothing to do with that but same comic)

awwww - Johnny Alpha died when Carlos stopped drawing him because he didn't like the direction tthe stories were going. Strontium Dog was the best with the artwork being no small part of that.

nice one, mogrim

Spent a bit of time with Carlos a few years ago - thoroughly nice bloke. The comic world lost a legend, though his work will last forever.
