Hi all,
Prime day is prompting us to get all the gadgets sorted for the new house which will have our own back garden for first time and a reasonable wood shed for bikes. This means I am quite keen for external CCTV. We have just tied ourselves into Ring ecosystem with indoor camera and doorbell so makes sense to do Ring outdoor for the back.
They have 2 options, a spotlight and floodlight system. Spot says 300 lumen of light when activated but can be battery/solar powered and the flood says 200 lumen but is hardwired (no obvious outside power at new house yet). So, I'm after real world experience of either/both, anyone on here got either and have a real view? The spot is easy option but the light will really only be used to say "I see you". The flood will likely need some funky wiring work (I think from loft/gutter area) but I can then use it at night if we want to be out in the garden? Anyone have the flood and can it be used as general lighting?
Thanks
