We have put a system in the shop . Every time someone comes in the shop I get a text letting me know. This means I have to manually turn off motion and sensor alerts on entry and turn them on when I leave. Do they magically turn back on when in Away mode?

Is there anyway to have them actually disarmed when in Disarmed mode?

Also when it does alert me, it's the same alert as when I get a text even though I've got it set on Ding Dong. Can I change it? It's on a Samsung.

We had this issue when I installed a Ring alarm in our flat. Kept getting texts every thirty seconds when someone walked past the motion sensor or camera. Can't for the life of me remember when I did to turn it off in home mode but alerts were still on in away mode so there definitely is a way.

Can you look at your settings?

Only notifications I get are when the alarm is triggered.

Although I think I have seen various settings for notifications in the app somewhere.

If you go into the app, then select

Devices
Alarm Base Station
Select the sensor
Mode setting

On mine I have the home mode switch set to off ( it says ignore when armed)
It makes a log of every time it is triggered , but doesn’t tell me
I also have the magnetic sensors on the front and back door , but they are set to armed when at home to let me know if back or front door has been opened . The base unit chirps to let me know

Some of that might apply to what you want yours to do 😁
