Every pair of Riggers I've had soon rip up inside through regular removal. Why they aren't designed better beats me.Jallate Jalaska seem to get good reviews but could they suffer the same fate or are they good all round?Any other suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks in advance ..Bill
I'll be trying some Hoggs rigger boots this winter having had several pairs of their lace up boots.
Jallatte are good boots with stupid names, the ones with Vibram soles are much better than their own brand soles.
Are the riggers a bit loose on your feet normally? I have this problem with any pull ons but I have odd shaped feet and skinny ankles. For me, I think the liner wearing out is mostly due to heal lift while walking.

Same for me. It more about how they they fit your feet rather than how good the actual boot is.
For me it was Makita Boots that fitted right round the ankle and didn’t move when walking, and so they didn’t wear out at the heel. First pair I ever had that didn’t wear out at the heel before the rest of the boot was knackered and needing to be replaced.
i've always presumed it was the levering the boot on and off that caused the tearing. Once torn they become a pain in the butt alway catching etc. The jallate vibram look interesting ..just don't want a flimsy liner .
Red Wings are good if you can stomach the costs. We no longer get them as standard but some countries still issue them from stock......your boots miraculously wear out when you find them.
Jialette not bad but I find thy only get comfy about 15 minutes before they are worn out.
Surprisingly I'm finding what ever screwfixes own 20quid ones are "site" ????? to be surprisingly comfy and durable.
Ive used Jallatte Jaltree S3 for the last 9 yrs. (2x pairs)
They dont make them anymore I think.
Soles are strong a have stopped nails. Although I usually dont like vibram soles, these have been fine, but then theyre rarely used where traction is a problem.
However, I have to say that the liner has torn at the heel, but it isnt causing me any problems and has been like that for a few years.
The boots are like outdoor slippers to me, although Ive just taken them off having got in from logging down at the coppice. They have terrible ankle support though, but the safety components are good. Id probably buy again but then I dont need professional boots for work.
Sievi boots are well worth it.
Just to add/clarify I only have Jalatte lace ups, I'm not recommending any riggers because they don't work for me.
Doc Marten for my peds..
Doc Martin Riggers were my favourites by far.
Seem to be some cheaper redwing riggers about ..wonder how good they might be?
