getting sick of buying rigger boots both cheap and not so cheap and them falling apart ..normally the sole comes off or the inside heel area gets ripped apart and they become a pain in the butt to put on or off. I recently bought a pair with a stitched sole thinking at least if the glue fails they'd be OK . well as soon as the sole wore a bit the stitching fell apart as did the glue. Why do so many boots that are supposed to withstand harsh conditions have such a shite build quality or design ? Anyway back to topic ..heard good things about jallatte but do they last ? your experience please.

Before they banned us wearing riggers at work I've had Jallatte in the past and the midsole plate snapped on one pair.

My old Jallette didn't last any longer than the 25 quid site pair I use at home- on my second pair in 4 years and practically live in them.

I've moved to jalette zip sized lace ups for work. Far comfier and far more supportive - nearly as easy to take on and off.

Not used the red Wings but they do look a far superior boot and everyone raves about them....I'm not stumping up the £££ for them though

Crappy work boots falling apart has been a bugbear of mine for years now. I've tried cheap and expensive but they all seem to fall to bits long before they have the chance to wear out.

Thankfully though, I discovered Heckel boots. My current pair are finally dying after about two years. They have been great, I've already bought the same again, just incase they go out of stock locally. Composite toe, so lovely and light.

Mine aren't riggers, but they do a rigger version https://www.heckel-securite.fr/en/products/focus/

I've thought about the site boot as plenty seem to rate them but there are also quite a few who say they fall apart quickly. May have a look at the Heckel ...just want something that lasts !

I'm coming to the end of my second pair of jallette. Comfy when new, support falls away after a while and the liner tears quite quickly but I'm not a site worker. If I were wearing daily I'd probably go through a pair in 6mths. However the sole and heel has held up on mine.

Have you considered Buckler Boots Rigger ?

Their Hybridz are my daily boots and have been for the last 4 years or since they introduced them. Like all Buckler’s, I find them comfy, the early Hybridz didn’t last long and they seem to have taken user feedback to get to being a boot that lasting over two years of daily and quite heavy use. I’m on my 3rd pair, got them about a year ago and they’re doing well.
