I’m holidaying in Froome soon. Anyone know of some good routes/areas to head for?
Cheers!

Road riding?

Some nice hills around Longleat for something local, or a worthy loop around The Mendips including Cheddar Gorge and Draycott Steep.

There’s some fun riding in the woods between Gaer Hill and Maiden Bradley.

That said, it’s been 20 years since my folks lived there so might have all changed...

Just be careful, he has a habit of not looking where he's going and instead staring at his stem...
Oh...
I'll get my coat.

My pal Brad reckons he's got a habit of shooting off up the road when he's getting bored waiting for you, so you may not be riding near him that long.

Wind Hill is your best bet. Drop me a line if you want someone to show you round, and you’re welcome to drop by my business in Frome for a coffee on weekdays.

Note that you need to sign up for membership to ride at Wind Hill, and book in advance at the moment. It’s got a range of trails, but it’s more of a full face helmet sort of place than your average trail centre.

@jjprestidge
Thanks for the offer of a guide. Coffee sounds good…is your business a cafe? I have a hungry family!

@boxwithawindow
GPX files would be great and so might be a guide!
Cheers,

We’re idly sort of thinking about moving to Froome, so as a resident not a visitor is there much off-road riding around? I’m very much a trail rider not DH or jumps if that makes a difference.
