I’ve got quite an odd thing going on tray has me stumped - probably a simple thing but I’m very sleep deprived!
<span style="font-size: 0.8rem;">
Wifi is working fine for all devices bar one kindle tablet. Sod’s Law it’s the only tablet in the house and what my wife is using to get through the nightly feeds for our newborn.

<span style="font-size: 0.8rem;">the tablet connects for around 5 seconds then just disconnects for a couple of seconds before reconnecting.

Tried forgetting network and reentering password - no joy
tried factory reset of device - no joy
tried connecting to phone hotspot - that seems to work fine, but not enough coverage to stream Netflix.
my phone, tv etc are all working just fine in the house wifi. It’s only this one device.
Thanks!
Could be a DHCP issue, can you give it a static IP address?
I get this with a Fire HD tablet occasionally. The first time I spent an hour or so trying to sort it out, then
I restarted the router and it connected.
Force it onto 2.4GHz only?
Thoughts:
It could be cracked with a broken antenna (round the screen?).
Or it could be swapping between 5GHz and 2.4GHz, and then back again. And then back to 2.4GHz etc (as Cougar suggested).
Log onto the router and rename the 5GHz frequency to force the tablet to use the 2.4GHz frequency.
Thanks all - turned the router off and on again and all is restored. 🙄
Bloody hell. 😂
