I remember hearing Ricky do a joke were the punch line was something along the lines of " a bit like God then." I have been trawling through all I can find on youtube, but this could take days. Can anyone remember the joke, or which of his video's it was in.

Gervais favourite subject is god and religion. There are potentially many comments/jokes of his with a similar line.
Quite possibly in his Animals stand-up tour.

We got this reality game show in England, right? It's like a big brother type thing but set on an island. It's getting so tenuous now because it's got famous people. Now it's got siblings of famous people. There was one guy on there who was the son of a famous footballer, right? We were talking about it and one of us said, "The thing is he's only famous because of who his dad was." And Karl went, "You could say the same about Jesus."

Yes that was probably the one.
Just found one with Ricky and Karl doing a mr. and mrs. type questions the last one asked is "what are you're pet hates?" I was literally in tears with the answer.
