Yes sad news that. I still drive around listening to their music. My folks managed to get me and brother tickets for their added on last gig at the Brighton center. I think I was 14 ish. Never forgot it

I was on a long drive last week and played some Jam for the first time in ages. The first few albums have good though pretty standard drumming, but by Sound Effects Buckler had developed into something special.

Shame video embeds are broken, but I'm guessing someone posted Funeral Pyre. Just played it when I heard the news and it gave me goosebumps. One of the most memorable live gigs I've seen. Shame they had to carry on without Weller and couldn't do something original, but as part of that 3 man thing called The Jam, he was fantastic.

I was at that Queen's hall gig, they played loads of their old stuff which they didn't normally do so knew something was happening (it was the year they split up) it was a cracking gig

Everyone was at the Queens hall gig in 1982 - including my future wife and my future brother in law - bonkers..........

He reminds me of Charlie Watts,  dependable, quiet and unassuming, but defined The Jam.
