About a week ago I hit the gym a bit too hard, got mild DOMs....I rode revolution bike park on Sat....
anyhow my right arm tonight is a bit swollen.... have I been ****ing too much.... or is the fact that I can't see my tendons and veins in that arm very clearly.... a problem?
Piss is normal coloured.... I really can't be ****ed with telling my boss that I'm in hospital on a saline drip..... because..... "lifting, bro, hahah" .
Sigh... should have listened in the sport science module at uni....
Wait, so you're worried that you've got Rhabdomyolysis because your arm's a bit sore after lifting weights?
Give it a name or label and it becomes real eh OP? 😉
Sounds like you've been ****ing too much dude 😉
Sorry for the pedantry but isn't the correct medical term for * too much: **?
My husband had this but his wee was the colour of treacle.
I'm not a medic, but I don't think a swollen arm on its own is a key sign of rhabdomyolysis. Do you also feel unwell and in pain? If you're worried, go to the doctor, rhabdomyolysis is a big deal if that's what you really think you've got.
There's a film about a pro MTBer who had this. In order to manifest it he raced at threshold and beyond for 24hrs, collapsed and was VERY unwell & taken unconscious into hospital by ambulance. So, Did you pedal up at Revolution Bike Park or get the uplift? 😉
"Doctor I've got Rhab, Rhabomd, Rhobdol ,Rhabdoymlis. My arms all swollen!"

True, then again there are plenty of stories where people have taken a break for a while and then pushed a bit too quickly... and ended up on saline drips for days.
I agree, it likely is rhabdo... but 1.2g of ibuprofen has failed to reduce the swelling overnight...never had this before.
