Stuck in iphone hell, friend at work dropped his phone so i said that he could have my old iphone 4 as i don't use it. Trouble is every time i go to reset the phone to wipe all my data, it requires a password.
The password is linked to an old email account (ntlworld), when we switched to Sky, NTL stopped access to the email account. So it allows me to look to reset the password to something new, but it sends the new password to the NTL email address which i can't access!
Any ideas how to get around this?
Phone up the FBI, seems they found out how to do it! 😆
Try getting the email sent again, when it pops up asking for the code press code not received and you should be able to get a txt sent to the number listed as your recovery number.
Might work.. I had something similar yesterday.
I would guess that most small phone fix shops have SW to get round this and can reset it for you. Mainly used for reselling stolen phones, so will only work on older models until they find out how to crack the newer ones.
iCloud password is this? Log into icloud.com/find and remove the phone from your account. Then DFU restore the phone (hold home and power until it turns off, keep power held, let go of home - whilst plugged into PC)
