I've had 'cashback' for a purchase come through as a prepaid digital card of sorts. Calls itself My Digital Wallet on prepaiddigitalsolutions.com. It has until the end of the month to use the funds.
What I'd like to do is transfer the money into a bank account but there doesn't appear to be an option to do that. Any ideas on how to get the money out of there without actually spending it?
I wouldn't expect them to make it easy for you. It's like the gift card/voucher business model which counts on a certain % of people never spending it.
Buy a gift card for your usual supermarket, use it for groceries?
You can open a Revolut account, which comes with a digital prepaid card with no expiry date. This is topped up with a bank account or a credit card - you can use the prepaid card to top it up too.
Assuming a relatively small amount. Use it to buy an Amazon gift card. Spend later at your leisure.
£300. So somewhere in between a 'small fortune' and 'I'll just buy something'
Thanks munrobiker. I've set myself up on Revolut and can see how to do it, unfortunately My Digital Wallet keep declining it. They're even throwing up a security question asking me to select recent transactions to prove it's me when none have happened lol
