It's a known bug. Apparently some keyboards are better than others but it happens with the stock android one amongst others. Happens to me. Apparently being worked on but I get the impression that forum issues, especially android related ones are pretty low down the priority list..
I have commented on this twice. It is very reminiscent of using Facebook desktop site on android in that the editing is difficult
A wherwand sounds like something that comes with a responsibility few people could handle.
