The wife has stood on the laptop,HP G61, and broken the screen.
Replacements on eBay are £60.00

How easy are they to fit?

You'll need the service manual, it should be straightforward enough

it's fiddly and there's about a hundred little teeny screws, but with the manual it's doable. I had the teenyweeny screwdrivere I needed already, just don't skimp on a decent one!

Easy- as mentioned, get the service .pdf from the manufacturer's site, follow the instructions- basically they just plug in.

Cling film ?

Screen is all lines from a quarter of the way down with a 5p sized splodge at the top of the lines.

Looks cream crackered to me.

Cheers.

Have to admit as the pile of bits and screws around me mounted up I was v worried!

But thanks to the service manual it all worked out ok.

Thanks again

That's cheap for a wife, but I suppose it's just a deposit and you spend the rest of your life paying her off...
