I need to quickly replace an old wooden garage with either another garage or something garage sized but more of a workshop. It is not an a concrete base so I am not too restricted by what has gone before.

Needs to be robust, weather resistant,  usable and ideally reasonably secure, but at a reasonable i.e. lowish cost. I can get power to it and probably connect up a sink if I get keen.

Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations please

Don't know what lowish cost means, used concrete garages go for pennies on ebay as the owners just want someone to dismantle and take away. New concrete will be more cost than new wood, but less maintenance. With a similar budget you could likely put something up in SIP panels and the comfort and adaptability of design would be a huge plus for me. Does it have to sit on the same footprint and look like an old school wooden garage?

Based on garages 100 yards away, I can go for nearly anything

Low maintenance and reasonable security are pluses

Pole barn, put the uprights packed in stone, not cement.

Or just look at McMoonter threads.
