its a hotpoint if that makes any difference, is there anyone out there who can tell me how to replace the belt?
Take the top off the drier, couple of screws at the back.
Take the side panel off, on mine it was the left hand side.
Loosen the other side.
Gently tilt the back of the drier with the drum attached to get a gap around the door seal.
Put belt around drier drum.
Get a pair of old straightish handlebars.
Put handlebars through belt.
Put end of handlebars onto the drive stub from the drier motor.
Wiggle/stretch belt onto drive stub.
Reassemble sides and top of tumble drier.
Shout at wife/children for putting bath mat into drier in first place.
