9-5 3l diesel to be precise

Sourced the pump for cheap but now needing to get it fitted. The petrol Version looks a piece of piss, but how hard is it to replace a diesel fuel pump for a reasonably competent home mechanic (not me I may add, I can barely do an oil change)

Can't find much in the way of info on the net, is it an engine out job?

We used to have one of them. I have no idea what the answer is but if you're in Edinburgh then Central Saab Specialist out at Bonnyrigg were good when we used them.

I did the 2.2 TiD pump but have no knowledge of the 3.0 other than lots of things go wrong with them (liners).

Get onto UK Saabs and ask the question if you can't find the answer.

Best of luck. 🙂

I do live in Edinburgh and have previously used Sentral Saab Specialist, however not overly impressed. Every time it went in there it always used to develop strange and additional issues (such as brake pipes failing on the test drive after going in to correct an engine fault etc etc). The issue it has now is the same one apparently they fixed months ago at a cost of 400 quid...called up numerous times for them to relook at it, they never bother calling back..
