I don't have 550k to invest, but I *do* need a replacement shed window. Everything you need to fill the opening: Sill, Frame & Perspex.

Anyone able to suggest somewhere online that will make and send to me, or somewhere I can collect from on the South Coast between worthing and Southampton.

I'm not looking to impress the neighbours and I don't need an opening window, but I've got to look at it so something I've made myself out of pallets won't work.

Opening is quite large - 80cm tall 120cm wide.

Aside: Do I even need a frame? I'm sure the sheds I've had in the past have just had openings with perspex battened in, but now I think about it wouldn't the water just run down and rot the bottom of the opening? Having said that, the opening is quite big for that solution...

What I have done is order glass custom cut to fit in the opening with a few mm to spare. Put 22mm wide hardwood strips round opening. Placed glass against them them added more strips to hold in place. Finished off with glazing sealant. Ideally the bottom of the opening shoud have a sill sloping out with a slot cut underneath to get the water to drip of.

Thanks IRC, that's exactly what I'm (reluctantly) doing.

The only thing I can't source is the sill at the bottom but I'm considering cutting a strip out of a large thick disposable aluminium baking tray. You'd think that someone would sell a strip of stepped plastic to do the job but I can't find it.

Just buy a length of sill, online or places like Wickes will do it. You can get it in a hardwood, softwood or upvc, or whatever you'd like.

After that's fitted you could do as suggested above.

If I was localerer to you I'd machine you up some section but as I say, a local joiner would do it easily.
