My aging LG G2 needs a new battery, loads of places selling them but good reviews seem to be thin on the ground, eg it's actually a recycled one etc. Is there a decent place to get one? Cheers

I've always bought them off Ebay. I always choose a UK seller who sells phone parts and with good feedback. I've never had any issues, though if I did have a bad battery I would assume Paypal would would assist in a refund. Off the top of my head I usually pay around £10.

Or your buildings insurance, assuming it covers large electrical fires.

ebay, don't go for the silly cheap stuff which is obviously recycled.

ask the seller what the manufacturing date is on them - go with one from the last year or so.

I got a genuine recently manufactured one for my LG Nexus 5 for 8 quid delivered from ebay.

I've bought loads of duff Samsung batteries off ebay.

In the end I bought a Anker off Amazon. They seem to be branded non original replacement. Cheap at twice the price of the Knock offs.
