I'm inclined to buy the manufacturer's spare part since I've bought so many crappy aftermarket batteries in the past. (Bought a camera battery for 40 bloody euros that is a cheapo and also completely rubbish, lasts a fraction of the time of the OEM one despite having the same nominal capacity.. that'll teach me to shop properly) But never a laptop one. There are some listed that are £42 vs £59 for the real part, so not a big deal.
But the voltages are listed differently and the capacities seem improbable for the aftermarket ones.
I'm just deeply sceptical. Anyone had a good experience with a third party laptop batter? As in, did it have the advertised capacity and did it actually deliver that? And did it have a reasonable lifetime?
I bought a replacement one for my Dell and another one for a Lenovo. None worked, needed to go back to the originals.
I sourced a new batt from Dell, for one of my laptops.
Failing that, if you can open the case, get Smudge to replace the cells.
