My ten year old Arcteryx is starting to literally fall apart.

Annoyingly the actual material is still good (think it's GoreTex Activeshell) but all the seam tape is falling off, I guess from one too many washes.

There's various products on the market, any particular one better than the other? I see some WBM T-2000X tape which looks perfect?

My wife had the exact same issue. She just went to our nearest AlpKit shop and got it repaired there

You've also got Scottish Mountain Gear in Musselburgh, maybe a bit further but easier parking and I've found they offer a better service than Alpkit in my experience.

LSR.

Totally failed to repair the seams on my GTX Paclite jacket, they didn't bother removing the old seams which were no longer attached and just put new tape over them, which then came straight off. It was the laziest most amateurish attempt I'd ever seen to repair something.

For balance, we've used LSR several times with no problems.

Resurrecting this thread as I need to DIY repair or get repaired a Gorewear Windstopper Cycle Jacket and TLD Resist waterproof pants.

1) the Windstopper Cycle Jacket has several panels where the seam tape/seam has come apart. Gorewear offered no DIY options and said send to Scottish Mountain Gear (as above).
Any STWers aware of an effective DIY solution or good outdoor kit repairer around the Chester/Warrington/Liverpool area that they have good experience of?

2) TLD Resist waterproof pants have a 3" tear across one of the knees and suggested sewing on a fabric patch or a repair kit specifically designed for outdoor gear or, for extra strength, use a heavy-duty, waterproof patch which can be sewn or ironed on.
Any STWers aware of an effective fabric or heavy duty weatherproof patch for use on the knee ... .. or good outdoor kit repairer around the Chester/Warrington/Liverpool area?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I am aware that an outdoor clothing repair shop is due to open next to the RAB outlet store (think its called Mountain Outfitters) in Winnington, Northwich. Though no one seemed to know when it will open?
