Hi
Need to change a van for my wife's business. Considering going electric with a Renault kangoo ev.
Does anyone use them? What is the real world range? and what sort of charge time do you get off a standard 13A supply. As it will need to be charged from that occasionally.
Any other issues with reliability?
Van will do lots of short journeys in town up to 40 miles a day. So I think electric would be suitable. Diesel is just being a nightmare (dpf plus maintenance costs).
Will be buying second hand.
Work has one, but it only drives on campus so probably <8 miles a day. Seems to work well, looking properly battered so clearly been well used (abused!)...doesn't do a lot of miles but seems to be charged ever 2-3 weeks, so seems to do ok.
Not a huge help as usage is not like your's but it seems ro work well.
Thanks.
Little bump for the daytime people.
Think they use the same bits as the Nissan Leaf and ev van. 24kw battery gets about 90 miles in them 3 pin plug charger takes all night to charge. The 3.3kw charger takes around 3-5hrs depending if it’s set to 80% charge or not.
