Tried a few of the online solutions (mayo, salt) but they don't work.
Any tips?
Alternatively, which of the commercial products work well?
Thanks in advance.
Cigar ash?
(that's an old one I heard years ago)
rub a walnut on it.
Light rub with T Cut
Damp tea towel and warm iron, sometimes works.
If you can find some, Topps ring away.
i am with project on this one you dont need the towel to be wet in my experience you just need to protect the table from the iron and away you go . i have used a thin tea towel a hot iron and apply a fir bit of pressure to the iron. i reckon it will only work on a table with a fairly thick varnish or laquer or what ever the protection is.
My mum used to pour something on and light it, then blow it our after 1 second. Not sure what she used. White spirit, nail varnish remover, meths? Sounds radical but might be worth a google. Seems to work for her.
Iron and teatowel worked a treat for me a few months back. I did worry I was gonna make it a lot worse, but the gamble paid off.
