Is it possible to get remote controls repaired? My active speakers (Dynaudio xeo3) have a small remote control that has been damaged. The battery connection has fallen off inside and no longer creates a connection between battery and circuit board. I'm not competent to attempt to repair it myself and I can't find a replacement unit. Has anyone had a remote control repaired and who did you use?
I'd repaired a good few I've the years.
Anyone competent with a soldering iron should be able to sort it...
...Unless battery leakage has caused extensive damage to tracks on the circuit board... If that's what has eaten away the battery connector.
That said, usually the worst bit is getting the buggers apart without breaking the housings.😁
Bitd I'd have said take it to a TV repair shop when there were loads around. There still are a few, have a look locally.
There's possibly guys making a living repairing just remotes and such things these days, again, a Google will tell you.
Edit: A mobile phone repair shop is likely to be able to help.👍
