Just read that argos have stopped producing their catalogues. However This link has every edition uploaded online..

Toys start around page 240 in the versions I've looked at...can't believe the evil kenivel stunt bike I always lusted after was only a tenner!!

I can't believe you aren't reminiscing about the underwear section, the 80s equivalent of pornhub.

I think that was the littlewoods catalogue not the Argos catalogue if I remember correctly...

I've just been through every page of every Argos catalogue and found nothing saucy, so I guess you're right.

Oooooh saucy indeed...😉

A colour tv in 1974 was £200 which is an amazing amount of money when you consider you can buy a perfectly decent tv today for just over a ton..

We got ours from radio rentals of course!

P87 1979-1980 was about as good as it got in Argos 😲

An Argos showroom, 1975.

"I'd like an air rifle please, it's on page 35"

"Aren't you a bit young laddie?"

"It's for me Dad, Mister"

"Righto, see that you run straight home with it then"

1988-89 page 177 actually gets quite risqué

The laminated book of dreams (courtesy of Bill Bailey)

Looks like I'll have to buy my Elizebeth Duke gold sovereign rings online from now on then

I shall miss the Argos catalogue. If I win the lottery I’m going to track down and collect every item in the 1979/80 issue.
