I’ve decided to sell all my bikes
…and car..and worldly possessions …
And buy This bad boy.. instead…
How long do you think before something like this can be bought in lidl for 300 quid? Hopefully before I’m 70..
Ha ha. Bet they go bust before the first one is delivered
Looks fab. $92k though!
WANT!
If it gets all the ****tards on electric scooters off the roads and into the sky then I’m happy.
A jet ski crossed with a quad bike. Should tell you who your peer group would be. Plus you could only ever use it in your garden,
Plus you could only ever use it in your garden,
I refer you to the numpties who ride those SurRon electric bikes on roads, MTB trails etc.
Coming to a woods near you...
You could get your name down in history, first Jetson across the channel etc etc
20 minutes flight time?
Ouch!
$92k ....order me two,immediately!
As long as they have enough range to race to the pub and back,I fully intend to park one,on the grass,in front of all the posers with their supercars 😆 🤣
Safe. Lol.
Looks good, but think I'll wait for the one developed by flotson.
I’d be astonished if this gets certification for flight outside controlled airfields.
What about pilot training?
I was looking forward to quieter streets with EVs, the idea of noisier skies isn’t really a good trade.
Learn to die in 6 minutes more likely 😳
I don't think the personal safety of the pilot will be at risk, it's just a drone you sit on.
But the people in the vicinity... Like grass under a lawnmower.
But my god it looks great fun. Big wide sand dune system? Hello!
people can't drive; they most certainly won't be able to fly
I’d be astonished if this gets certification for flight outside controlled airfields.
i draw sir’s attention to the E-scooter, the funny hover board things , heelies, and mini quad bikes at Christmas (and the inevitable tragedy on Boxing Day) These kind of things don’t need certification. they just need to be available on Ali Express
Could someone remind me what pilot qualifications Colin Furze has?
You underestimate how many people with enough disposable income might have the sort of land that you could fly that around on especially in the US.
There's a significant difference here. There are VERY strict laws about what can be sold and used for powered human flight. Even drones above a certain size are heavily regulated. Urban Air Mobility has been heavily researched by some of the worlds largest startups and the major players in aviation...so far, NOTHING is certified despite almost 10 years or RnD and these are to be piloted by trained professional pilots.
This isn't the same as buying a supercar where the only buy in is to buy in, there are far greater barriers to entry. Heck, Mitsubishi Japan just called time on their efforts to produce their own regional jet - the Spacejet. Started in 2003, first flown in 2015, they didn't manage to get it certified for flight by 2023 and killed it. $7.6bn is rumored to have been spent... Certification for flight is what kills most flight programs. Comac has taken almost 20 years to overcome it.
Apparently it is intended not to require certification, using a classification for 50% home built aircraft (it's sold as a kit), which comes with restrictions on where it can be flown. I think that's a USA thing, so may not be valid in UK or Europe. It also sounds like an unintended loophole in the legislation, so might get closed.
All that needs is a bike rack and the ability to "follow me" like a normal drone. Bike on, strap in, fly to the top of the hill. Then it follows you down. Repeat... (or not with the 20 min battery life but let's forget that bit).
Hell, put a camera on it too and it can film you as you go...
$98k is a lot of uplift days though.. but how much fun would that be..
selects firestarter.....
sets volume to max...
Cheaper to buy a helicopter! (and it's possible to land a helicopter without dying when the motor fails.)

If it gets all the **** on electric scooters off the roads and into the sky then I’m happy
DUCK!
I've been watching this thing develop and I agree with Daffy - I can't see it EVER getting approved for proper use.
Maybe Farmers in America will be able to buy on and fly it over their own land without a licence - provided it's below 400 Kg I think. The Jetsone ONE is 80'odd Kg so probably OK.
Does anyone know what happens when it runs out of charge at 100 metres above the ground?
The propellors look like they are fixed pitch (so it can't autorotate like a helicopter) and it's got no other 'lifting surfaces' so does it have a parachute built in?
For everybody who's not a crazy Farmer with loads of land - this is just a salespitch to get more investors. Nothing to get excited about.
so does it have a parachute built in?
apparently it does yes, which deploys at high altitudes if it all goes tits up
See post #2...
