Hi all!

Trying to find a recommended electrician that's interested in a small job. It requires a tidy up of wiring and then the signing off of the electrics due to an extension that's been built.

Hope someone out there can help,

Ali

Is it someone elses work that requires 'signing off'?
If so, any reputable electrician will not do it.
When you are given an Electrical Installation Certificate, by the Installing Company, the person responsible has to sign for the Design, Installation, and Inspection of the work. Anyone with any sense will not be signing the work as theirs if they have not seen all the work being done.
It sounds like it is mainly the testing that will be required for you.
If so, you can only get a Electrical Installation Condition Report for the work done by others.
Some Building Control Depts will allow that and give their completion Certs. etc.
Others will want to see a Part P certificate, which will be difficult to get now.
Why cant the original Installer supply the relevant certificates?

Alan.
