Proper 'timewarp' condition.
Be a shame if it's bought by someone 'cos it's got a straight shell they want to use to rebody a 2.8i or something.
Wow !
Nice. I'd rather release my inner Colt Seavers though.
Sending that to my big bro. He had an identical Capri back in the 80s!
Want!
Ad doesn't give engine size? At a guess it's the 1.6?
Ah, that's a newer model than my bro's. His was S or T reg, I think. Smaller rear lights maybe.
But it needs to be a 3.0 Sport with the mesh headrests if you really want to be Bogie or Boil.
I used to have an A reg 2.0S when I was about 19, just like this one >
terrible cars really. 100bhp from a 2.0! I hate to think how gutless the 1.6s were. particularly bad handling and especially bad in the wet, a bit of fun perhaps depending on your point of view. I had mine sideways @100mph once as I came around a corner to see a wet road where overhanging trees had stopped it drying out, truly a heart stopping moment 😯
The Professionals started off using BL cars but reliability was so poor that it was affecting filming schedules. Ford stepped in to help and the rest, as they say, is history.
