Want to get some new lenses in my existing glasses

Anyone had this done?

Not sure which place to take them

Er.... take them to an optician?

A high street chain optician will do their best to put you off the idea by claiming that the frames are worn out, not suitable, etc. etc. so then look around for a good independent who will do the job for you.

If you're lucky enough to be close, the very excellent Junaid at Ideal Eye Care in Wilpshire, Blackburn, is your man for creativity and original thought.

If they are frameless it is difficult if not impossible as the lenses need to match the cut threads on the mounting exactly. Most high street opticians won't even entertain it, when I tried.

I get mine done every prescription by David H Myers,they are very happy to do it .

I've had it done loads of times. Saves lots if your eyes change a lot!
