question:
when returning goods to get a refund on purchases off ebay where goods have been paid for by a debit card but using the paypal portal, I am assuming that the refunded monies will get put back on the card.
I only say assuming as nothing is straight forward with paypal!
Anyone have experience?

Never used a card direct, just a card through PayPal account and that has gone straight back to card previously
Whenever I've had a refund it has ended up as PayPal credit. You can then withdraw it or spend it on goodies. I don't use a card, though.
You will probably find when they refund the money they may put a 'block' on it. This is because they may have not taken the money from your account before they refund the money back or they have to investigate why the money is toing and froing in case they suspect fraud.
