Here's what I want to do:
1. Find and online service that refills ink cartridges
2. Pop my empty cartridges in the post
3. Get the cartridges back full if ink
4. Pop them in the printer and print away.
Refill is the only way ahead for me at present as my printer is a North American spec one which won't accept european cartridges. HP have been very helpful in describing what I need to do to the printer to set it to the european format but in order to do this I need to print out the current settings, using the printer.
The ink tanks are totally dry so at the moment the plan is flawed.
Any advice would be greatly received.

Most, if not all, that I have come across will just send you a generic refilled compatible cartridge.
You could buy the ink and refill it yourself though:
