Woke up this morning looking like something out of a horror film - all the white bit of my left eye is bright red!

Not really painful - felt a bit gooey first thing and it feels a bit tender now, like it's been open too long.

I've been doing some building work that involves lime mortar, but I've used eye protection, and I had yesterday off, so it's been a good 36 hours since any exposure.

Will I live?

Stop touching yourself then rubbing your eyes, just saying.

More like this really...

It would seem I have a Subconjunctival Hemorrhage. Sounds pretty impressive for a sleeping injury...

ah, not sure that's a job for brolene.

Might just be an infection but probably best to let someone who's not in IT look at it, eh?

It would appear to be one of those 'shit happens' things, just a broken blood vessel. Looks pretty damn scary though, I actually shouted out loud when I looked in the shaving mirror this morning!

Brolene should only be used if you have eyes of emerald green

I saw an episode of the X-Files once where Scully said that it was a classic symptom of a brain aneurysm. HTH.

I thought falling to the ground clutching ones heads, screaming in agony before dying quite quickly was the classic symptom of a brain aneurysm...
