It’s great as long as you stop after season 3 maybe 5 at a push.

Nah, Tikka to Ride is one of the best episodes of TV ever made.

I'm the opposite. I find seasons 1 and 2 to be a bit of a slog but love season 3-6.

My Local Council summed up ...

"Call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit it hard and hit it fast with a major - and I mean major - leaflet campaign."

Well I would go with Betty, but I'd be thinking about Wilma.

I was in love once. A Sinclair ZX81. People said, no, Holly, she's not for you. She's cheap, she's stupid and she wouldn't load, well, not for me anyway.

We’re going through it in order again as well. It’s our brain dead TV of choice to watch after something more involving. Just watched the Ace episode last night.

Smoke me a kipper, I’ll be back for breakfast.

@kelvin
That's what I did 🙂

Also, as the seasons pass it's interesting watching the graphics improve, actors aging and so on.

Some nice looking spaceships at the end.

Also, some of the comic elements about space, time and ai etc. Are spookly coming true.

Polymorph is my favourite...due to schoolboy humour properly appealing to me not long after the leaflet campaign proposal!

Red Dwarf was my go to viewing as a young teenager when I was ill. It's probably one of the main influences to my sense of humour today.

Also, Dave had his appendix removed twice.

I need to rewatch these from when I was a teenager.

The things I remember are beer is the only thing to kill a vindaloo and the episode where everything went backwards and Cat's expression when he went into the bushes

that actually looks quite good & I may well get it, but is it not a totally unofficial, fan-made thing?

have a few Audible credits to use up so downloaded the first book last night. Not actually bothered finishing too many audio books so far as I find it really dependent on who’s reading it as to whether I engage with it. This is narrated by Chris Barrie and obviously is excellent, easily the best audiobook I’ve tried so far!

I loved Red Dwarf early series, but to go back would have to get over my loathing for what Craig Charles does to daytime 6 Music!

In the first ever episode (I think) they do the trick with the coin on the forehead.

I did that to my eldest son the other day and he completely fell for it.

My favourite episode was Backwards... but I thought it all aged badly even when it was still new. Craig Charles makes me cringe.

@reeksy

In fairness...

You do get used to him by episode 71 😉

Never thought I'd say this, but some episodes had an over use of Smeg word.

Lol at the coin prank on your kid 🙂

Title: "Back to Reality... Again"

INT. RED DWARF - MAIN CORRIDOR - DAY

The crew of the Red Dwarf, LISTER, RIMMER, CAT, and KRYTEN, are gathered in the main corridor, looking perplexed.

LISTER (smelling the air) What's that smell? It's like a cross between curry and wet dog.

CAT (looking offended) You dare insult my natural aroma, Lister?

RIMMER (disgusted) I think it's coming from the medi-bay.

The crew follows the smell to the medi-bay and discovers a strange device hooked up to the medical equipment.

KRYTEN (confused) This is highly irregular. It appears to be a reality-altering device.

LISTER (raising an eyebrow) A what now?

CAT (disinterested) Whatever. As long as it doesn't mess with my looks.

RIMMER (cautious) We should be careful. This could be a plot by some malevolent force.

KRYTEN (reading the device) It seems to be a prototype created by the Jupiter Mining Corporation for recreational purposes. It allows users to experience different realities.

LISTER (intrigued) Different realities? Like what?

KRYTEN (activating the device) I'm not sure. But there's only one way to find out.

The crew is engulfed in a bright light as the reality-altering device activates.

CUT TO:

EXT. RED DWARF - ALTERNATE REALITY - DAY

The crew finds themselves in a parallel universe where everything is reversed. The Cat is ugly, Rimmer is competent, Kryten is emotional, and Lister is the captain.

LISTER (confused) What the smeg is going on here?

RIMMER (smirking) Well, well, well. Looks like I'm the one in charge now.

CAT (looking horrified at himself) I can't be seen like this! My reflection could break mirrors!

KRYTEN (weepy) I just watched the saddest soap opera. It was about a malfunctioning toaster and a lonely ironing board.

As the crew tries to navigate this bizarre reality, they realize that the device has malfunctioned, and they need to find a way back to their original universe.

CUT TO:

INT. ALTERNATE RED DWARF - COMMAND ROOM - NIGHT

The crew sneaks into the alternate Red Dwarf's command room, encountering bizarre and comedic situations along the way.

LISTER (whispering) We need to find the reality-altering device and set things right.

RIMMER (smirking) Not so fast, Captain Lister. I won't let you mess up my perfect reality.

A comical chase ensues as the crew tries to outsmart their alternate counterparts and retrieve the reality-altering device.

CUT TO:

INT. RED DWARF - MEDI-BAY - DAY

The crew manages to fix the device and activates it, returning to their original reality.

LISTER (breathing a sigh of relief) Back to normal, eh?

RIMMER (grumbling) Thank smeg for that.

CAT (smiling) And I'm beautiful again. Crisis averted!

KRYTEN (content) I must say, I prefer our reality.

As the crew reflects on their bizarre adventure, they can't help but laugh at the absurdity of the alternate reality.

FADE OUT:

TO BE CONTINUED...
