It does look great! As for other PS3 games I can recommend Batman: Arkham Asylum, Saints Row 2 and Operation Flashpoint:Dragon Rising (shooty shooty bang bang but definitely not COD rambo style).

I'll be getting it, cod2 is doing my head in!

If roaming is your bag, then Fall Out 3 is fantastic! You have to conserve your ammo too!

Great to start with, but IMO becomes way too repetitive too soon. Not sure if the expansion packs are available on PS3 - I had them on the PC but didn't bother with them in the end.

Fallout 3 sooooo boring.

Yes they are. Downloaded a couple of them. Mildly entertaining with the providing of new weapons and some nice little side missions. The Point Lookout one is very atmospheric and very difficult in places. Lots and lots of feral zombie things and mirelurks.

I used to think FO3 was fantastic but I feel that Borderlands gives it a firm bitch slap to the face and walks all over it. Faster gameplay, ridiculously high number of weapons, good replayability and fantastic expansion packs.

RDR doesnt grab me though, then again a better trailer might have given it more appeal.

I watched one and was instantly reminded of "Gun". I wasnt overly impressed with the visuals either. I may take another look at some point but at the moment its not top of my "must buy" list.

I played the first one on the PC and it definitely lived up to that imo.

Gameplay was appalling, dumb AI, the open world environment wasn't it was maps you couldn't freeroam like they made out you could, clumsy vehicle controls and multi-player was just a horrible mess.

It was nothing like the original if you ask me, shared the name but failed on the gameplay.

Borderlands is great but can't compare it to Fallout 3 they're not the same kind of game at all. Borderlands is still very much a FPS.

I bloody loved gun on the ps2! But then I am abit of a western fan! And a gta fan...i have a feeling rdr will suit me then...

Agreed Borderlands doesnt have the same fine tuning of FO3 but it allows for more than most FPS games. I dont play on the PS3 much but over the last 6 months or so Borderlands has been in my console the most. I can certainly see where FO3 wins over Borderlands though, its a lot more atmospheric and the plot/storyline is more involved. Both games are great in their own way IMHO.

I really should set to and finish the likes of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet as well as actually taking the wrappers off Resistance and Resistance 2 😆

Thanks Tommy. Looks like I missed the boat there. It's gone up to £35 for PS3 and XBOX. Still cheaper that Amazon or Play though.

Yeah sums up Borderlands and FO3 well that.

You'll never finish LBP it's growing all the times and with 2,000,000+ custom maps it's huge. Trailes are out for second one and it's looking amazing.

I didn't play the multiplayer but did co-op which was great and gets rid of the AI. I had a few glitches which meant I had to restart missions which was pretty annoying!

Having just had a blast of the original on my mate's laptop I can say that the new one is missing something but I think converting over to console from PC is going to restrict a bit. I still love it though 🙂

Yeah Lifer Co-op is ok but the AI is still dumb, it was supposed to be if you were in cover that you can't be seen. Yet the AI see through smoke and trees.

I have it on the PC and it's just terrible, the sad fact is console gaming is spoiling it for PC players, modding is becoming less available and they are sometimes not even using dedicated servers.

Might I also recommend Crackdown. (and 2 is out soon and looks just as good)

GTA, on horses, set in the Wild West with some top notch multi-player action. Bring it on.

GTA was good, but I think it lacked decent on-line aspect which is what makes the latest generation of consoles so much better. RDR looks like it has this in buckets.

Online GTA IV was superb, mafia mode and cop vs robbers was great fun.

Oh Yes. Looks like Tesco's have dispatched my copy Red Dead Redemption. One Day before Release!!

Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow or Saturday.

i ordered this from Tesco Online for £29 i hope it gets delivered for release day.

Yup ps3. Pick up dead eye boxes the green ones that helps.

Mine turned up yesterday! Really good game, better than gta i reckon...
