We have an iPad Air 2 sitting in a drawer that MrsIHN was given by a previous employer. She has absolutely no idea what the login details are or anything about her AppleID (we're not Apple people). It's also probably pretty much certain that it will be linked to the email address at the old employer, which is clearly no longer accessible.
Is there any way of factory resetting it? It would be really useful for my sister.
Does she remember if she ever set up a recovery email. I used a personal email address for my works Apple ID recovery ? Apple being Apple, you may need a specialist !
Goggling says you can factory reset an ipad with iTunes installed on a PC if you've lost the apple ID.
If the comapny was in any way security concious then it may be linked to their infra (so when you reset it will want to authenticate via MBAM or similar).
Our corporate supplied Apple kit needs to be unenrolled by us when it leaves the company - if we dont do that then it can't simply be wiped and used as a non corporate device.
Hopefully your mileage will vary!

This won't be the case, the company was neither security nor budget conscious, they practically gave iPads out as paperweights...
