Just did my usual run and both Strava and Endomondo failed to record the run properly. Straight lines and no times, IOS on iPhone 6s. Anyone else had any issues. Strangely the inaccurate routes on both apps looked the same.

I've not uploaded my morning commute yet so can't say I've noticed anything. But, Strava and Endomondo are simply services displaying what the device recorded so it's unlikely to be a problem with them especially since you say the map of the activity is the same in both. The chances are high (near certainty) that if you uploaded your activity to another service it would show the same "inaccurate" route.

My morning commute uploaded fine (Strava), but it's had a phase of 'encountering a problem and recovering' lately which results in straight lines.

can anyone tell me why strava wont record the same section twice? It records the fastest time but if i do it again it wont show me how much slower i was.

Nope. Unless my glittering array of PRs are just a cruel illusion.

Weather interfering with satellite lock today?

My Lezyne Super GPS reported a decent signal (3 of 4 circles) within seconds of turning on inside just now.

I did a run with my Suunto at lunch, and it's gone a bit haywire on the second half. Lost the road completely, and then a straight line. Probably about 12.30ish

Shame, as it was my fastest time.

There are some webpages with a procedure to reset the GPS - I followed one of those recently (it was basically just switching GPS on and Off again with a restart in between aficr) and it worked a treat.
Otherwise - did you have anything different about your setup? Different pocket/pack/phone case?

Nope, everything the same. I was having issues with Strava a few weeks ago and Strava had already acknowledged there was an issue with some iOS update. It has been fine recently until today and endomondo did it as well.

Did anyone else's Strava app on iOS revert back to an old release?  Of late, when you hit start it gave you a choice of activities, but this morning it reverted to the old Run or Ride option which you then changed when you saved the activity.

Cynic in me suspects this function is now behind the subscription.

Endomondo problem here. latest update (V 17. something) seems to now be missing the ability to connect ANT+ devices, so my HRM wouldn't connect as their bluetooth connectivity has always been a bit iffy anyway.

wonderful.

stopped the auto update for android apps and found the may '18 version .APK file.

that seems to work nicely.

presumably, in true endomondo fashion, ANT wil be a premium option, despite me paying for the pro version many years ao...:-/

i've not had an issue since giving up recording on strava and using a garmin vivoactive to record and then let it automatically sync on my iphone apps.
