Does anyone have any experience of these?
Relatively worth it?
Any good deals / recommended?
Are Pulsio the go to / must have for these?

Facing acts I ain't getting any younger and recovery takes a good bit longer, I'm looking to get one. The size and ease of use appeals when travelling etc.

TIA

I think I paid £107 when I bought mine from Costco a couple of months ago which seemed by far the cheapest price around, so the price in the link above is exceptional.

The charge lasts a surprisingly long time imo, and it is very portable in its small zip up bag.

Do you own a jigsaw? If so massager head kits are available… not bad for £20

We really like ours and feel it does make a big difference.

I went to see a physio who deals with a lot of pro athletes and he was sceptical

We have a theragun. The phone control/connection is just a gimmick. What is good though and imo worth the cost is that you can hold it in multiple positions which makes it much easier to do your own back/neck etc where you would struggle with just a conventional straight handle

We got one a few weeks ago. It's about the same shape, size and weight as a (amateur DIY level) electric drill - so surprisingly weighty and quiet awkward to use for back and neck (which is where I need it).
I've not needed to use it on my glutes, but I would imagine that to be quite awkward as well. It should be easy to use on thighs.

So, initial impressions are fine if Mrs (or Mr!) Finners is doing the massage for you or the sore point is easily accessible but potentially tricky otherwise.

I don't really get massagers and foam rollers. Are you supposed to use them if you're particularly sore?

I don't get muscle pain from riding really.

And the DOMS I used to get from running was so painful I wouldn't be comfortable massaging.

They offer the same benefits as any other kind of massage, they help loosen the muscles, promote recovery by increasing blood flow, increase flexibility, etc.

Personally, I start to feel a bit beaten up after a while, with muscles tense and screwed up into knots. I'll get the foam rollers and massage gun out for a week and I feel new again. Should really do it all the time but I'm not that disciplined.

+1 for a theragun. We've got one and it really dies make a difference. Very good at generally loosening off muscles, especially quads, hamstrings, glutes. It really helps keep my back pain at bay. We got it during lockdiwn when going for a sports massage wasn't possible, and I've found that it has basically eliminated the need for me to go for them. Well worth the cash.

Theragun Elite for us, myself and kids use it after any sports session, can't say if it helps with recovery as other factors such as rest and nutrition also play a big role, but we like how muscles feel after using it.

The stroke on my Bosch jigsaw is quite different to the stroke on the massage gun. Even if you stop pendulum action the stroke on my Bosch jigsaw is longer and slower than the one on the massage gun.

It would be a weird coincidence if the stroke on a jigsaw was the same as that on massage gun since one is designed to cut wood, plastic, and metals, and the other is designed to massage your muscles.

Edit: Also I believe that a massage gun is designed to stop at a given pressure.

We got ourselves a corded Wahl massage gun (less than £40 in Boots) and have been very pleased with it. It's quite long so useful for reaching awkward places, but maybe not so good for travelling with. Certainly seems to ease aching muscles.

I bought one from Sportpursuit last year fir around £65 inc delivery and has 5 heads similar to the other one, Variable speeds etc. Been good. like many its worthwhile having somebody else do your back but I an do my shi=oulders etc fine (what I bought if or recovering post surgery).

Last a good time, not a good as a good sports massage person but better than trying to massage yourself

I’m another plus 1 on theragun. Feels like a well made thing, and works wonders on tight muscles in legs and shoulders. Good reminder to stretch and warm up too
