get as many of the AI Factory suite as you like. They're Free.

I particularly like Spades (Whist), Hearts, Gin Rummy and Backgammon

Loads of free angry birds episodes. Where's my water is quite good fun too.

That's a point; open to suggestions as to which is the best Backgammon implementation out of the 762 versions out there.

Cheers.

More interested in multiplayer than AI though, TBH. Local play / online with friends?

Cross-compatibility with iDevices would be nice to have too.

Clash of Clans. Multiplayer, IoS cross playable, very addictive, free (if you want to spend money you can but certainly not essential).

...and when you get good enough come and join my clan - 13th 😀

Ooh. Shadowrun Returns. Proper game rather than one of these stupid Flash things.

Also, GTA Vice City. Works with an Xbox controller too.

Loads of Tower Defense games if you fancy something a little bit slower paced, yet still violent. And easily pausable, useful if you're going to be stopping to get on a bus etc.

Grave Defense is a fairly good example of the breed.

Shadowrun Returns is an awesome game. Too short though.

The Asphalt series is good if you like driving games.

Carmageddon. I think it's about £4 but it's a classic.

The expansion's out (on PC at least, dunno about Android yet).

Just thought of another, Stickman Downhill is a giggle, if you can put up with bloody annoying adverts.

Just spotted something ace.

App of a little known but superb boardgame. Well worth the bargain price of "free" and works cross-platform multiplayer with your iDevice-owning friends.
