Hi,
I'm looking at installing a hardwood floor in our hallway and would like a recommendation for a professional installer within the Nottingham/Derby area.
Ideally someone who is used to installing parquet flooring would be good.
Thanks in advance!
IME you have to be very careful with hardwood floors in high traffic areas like hallways. Unless they are well laid and sealed they can wear very quickly. Frankly that's why they are often covered with a runner (ie carpet). Are you set on hardwood flooring, how about tiles or carpet ? FYI we currently have a reasonably expensive hardwood floor (laid by prior owner) which as we didn't have a runner (don't ask) is now very worn and we are faced with a difficult choice as if we sand/re-finish the hall what do we do about the connecting rooms with the same flooring.
