My venerable Jabra 65t's are showing their age, or more accurately the battery is as it no longer really holds charge for very long. I have had them for about seven years so I can't really complain.

All they're used for is listening to podcasts and music on the dog walk, and very occasionally taking a call (Android phone). Some kind of noise cancellation would be good, if only to cut out wind noise, but total ANC is unnecessary.

I've been impressed by the Anker bluetooth speakers we've got so I'm thinking of something from them, but open to ideas...

I have Anker soundcore p20i. Cost me <£20 on Amazon. Quite customisable in terms of controls. Perfectly adequate for my needs. I was impressed enough to buy wife and son a pair each and they too like them.

I've had a set of Earfun Air for a good few years, I'm sure the current versions fall into your price range. Purchased because they were the only thing in the What HiFi top 10 the year I purchased that weren't ££££, seems like they still rate them -here. They've had others recommend them in similar threads in the past.

If you're happy with earbuds that have a cable between them then the Beats Flex are good for the money and under £50.  If not, then look at Anker Soundcore, they have various models that always get good value reviews.

Another Anker soundcore user here, mine are the Life P2 Mini

Never tried them for calls but they sound pretty good IMO. £20 or thereabouts.

Earfun pro3s here.

The noise cancelling is a pain in the hoop* so i edited the settings in the app. I just turn it on in the app when i need it.

Connects to two devices aswell so tunes on my phone then answer a call on teams.

*Noise cancelling is absolutely fine but its too easy to turn it on and off and more irritatingly turn on the ambient sound** which is horrendous ona bus or in the office.

** I did actually use it once to eavesdrop a phone call in the office!

My partner has Samsung Galaxy Bud FE and she loves them. Reviews are very good too. You can find them for around £50 or less.

I have the Galaxy Bud 2 Pros but they're usually around £75 if you find someone selling a new set on eBay (Samsung offered them free with phones so lots of people sell them on).

Sorry for the thread hijack, does anyone have reccomendations for earbuds around this price that are symetrical, so you can wear them in either ear one at a time?

I have a hearing aid in me left ear (non-bluetooth unfortunately), so seems a waste to buy a pair and only use one! I've got a pair of Tozo 10 off Amazon which are fine, but old and now dropping connection. Quite handy just being able to grab one at a time, and obviusly extends the battery life over a few days

Another Anker sound core fanboy here. I much prefer them to my Samsung bud pros, and were a lot cheaper

I'm pretty sure you can set up the Sony wcf500 in 'dual mono' so you don't have to wear both.

You can get them for about £35, or there's a newer 510 version for about £40.

Really good buds, would highly recommend.

I've got a pair of Soundcore p20i and p40i. They're both okay, battery life is good, connection is flawless and fast, they feel well constructed.

If you care about sound quality, i'd say the sound is too v-shaped. You can change the EQ with their app but it's not perfect.

However for podcasts, casual music on the move they're absolutely fine and good value for money.

JBL WAVE or their 100 series are rather good for me with good bass.

You can get them for around £30 or less.

JLAB are fine too but bass is slightly less than JBL.

Plenty available at TK Maxx

Honestly unless your spending £100+ for active NC etc. I'd just buy whatever sonys are towards the top of your budget and you won't go far wrong.

JBL just seem to be trading on the name these days, it's mostly overpriced garbage.

I've got some Sony WCF 500s.  Pretty good for the money, battery life is excellent - 20+hours with charge in the buds and case combined.  I think 510s are the latest version

+n for the Anker Soundcore.  I have the P40i, £40 off of that Amazon.

They're astonishingly good.  Battery life is ages and the magnetic carry case is an external battery pack in its own right. It doubles as a stand with a little flip-up shelf and if you forget to put it down before closing then the lid flips it back down rather than jamming.

Touch controls on each bud which you can fully customise (tap, double-tap etc).  Pairing is instantaneous and it seems to be clairvoyant if you have two devices paired with them.  Noise cancelling has three levels so you can choose to occlude external noise or hear what's going on around you.  Essentially waterproof so long as you don't submerge them.  EQ settings on the app which it can set automatically a bit like when you go to an optician and they ask you which image looks clearer.

I can't recommend them enough.  Every time I use them I think "someone's thought about this."

I've also got Soundcores, they've been faultless for about 5 years so I'd definitely buy them again if/when they die.

Soundcore v20i as I didn't want in ear. Allows you to hear the room around you (I have tinnitus). I have some brilliant Samsung in ear wired ones, but these are pretty good and cost less than £25 in sale, £50 normally.

At risk of repeating what has already been said... pick the best Anker Soundcore your budget allows.

They really are quite good.

I have the Space A40 which are currently £45 and they just work really well.

Another soundcore buyer, mine are earbuds with hooks over the ears for running. Very happy. Only single critique is I've had better app widgets. This one is a large approx 1/5th screen size widget, you don't have the option to resize it on the phone screen and it doesn't actually do anything more than the regular icon would do, it just opens the app.

The Soundcore widget is 4x2, you can make it bigger but not smaller.

I see little point in the Soundcore widget (though I rarely use widgets anyway).  Maybe if I was constantly changing ANC settings, that's about all it does.  If scrolling through apps is too much faff I can just drag a 1x1 icon onto the desktop for that.

  😲 That bad eh!

That's me thinking they are very good for the price of less than £30 🤣

Okay, in that case I shall upgrade to Anker Soundcore P40i for £40. (just to compare)
