Need a new dishwasher.
Maximum budget is about £400 but would prefer to stick to around £300.
At the moment I am looking at Bosch or Siemens.
Apart from a few extra programmes is there any real difference between a £250 model and a £400 one?
Have you got kids? They're cheaper than a dishwasher in most respects.
Bump.
There must be some white goods experts on here!
I also need a new one as our beumatic has died and is apparently rubbish and not worth fixing.
Bosh are the go to brand IMO but haven't got round to it yet.
www.match.com 😉
I'd look at the energy ratings and go for a good price to energy rating compromise of a decent brand.
im a big fan of KISS when it comes to white goods.
our bosch has 4 settings , no digital display just a few leds, a turn dial and an on button. - all of which are recessed into the machine.
cost about 200 quid and is a++ rated.
hasnt ever caused any alarm in 2 years now.
Had our Bosch d/w for 8 years (as a bundle of white goods when we moved into this house).
Touch wood, it's been problem free. Does have a timer, which we don't really use. Has I think 4 or 5 programs. We use Eco, plain or fast. Rarely use Dirty.
No idea of cost though, model / range - Exxel?
I had this dilemma a few months ago and bought an integrated Beko for about £250. I'd gladly spend 10x more never to have to wash dishes again but this one works fine. We have a similar one at work for an office of about 40 people and it's lasted years doing a couple of loads each day so I'm sure it'll be last well enough.
Now I've said that I can expect a call from home to tell me that the dishwasher has broken!
To end the most exciting thread of the day, I have decided to go with the Bosch and KISS option.
