Mrs SR was given money by her parents to finally upgrade her iPad. She has about £380 +or- to spend, but before she parts with her hard-won cash, she has asked me to ask you lot if there is something besides an iPad that you would recommend.
The current front-runner is the iPad 9.7.
Please convince her one way or the other...
You could have a Samsung S2 with a keyboard case for less than that.
Fast, excellent battery life, great screen, expandable memory with a micro SD, standard micro USB charger, etc.
Bought Mrs CFH one yesterday, as it happens. I already have a S2. After about three years of daily use, and regular travel, it remains perfect in almost every way. Highly recommended.
No contest, 9.7 all the way. Bought one myself, couldn't justify the Pro so this is a good compromise. Oddly, for phones I prefer android.
I've recently got a chromebook with a touchscreen and android apps. Screen flips back on itself so I can hold it like a tablet.
It's only medium quality Acer one (about £200) but I haven't picked up my tablet since.
Don’t buy a Samsung. Awful quality control imho, had three tablets and a phone that all died within a year
my commiserations, didn’t realise the stationary business was that bad these days 🙁Bought Mrs CFH one yesterday, as it happens. I already have a S2
If you want an Apple then the choice is made for you.
If you want to dabble with Android then the Asus Zenpad Z500 is excellent. Did a lot of research into it before I pulled the trigger and very happy with it.
Excellent screen, well built (full metal frame), fast and a good if not stellar battery.
A good secondhand Sony Z4 ( or even a new one of you can find one) would be an excellent choice also.
