We've always gone for the cheap and nasty "2 for a tenner" folding chairs but found that they were never really comfortable and rarely lasted 2 summers if that.

Just come back from a Eurocamp style site in the Cotswolds and their tents had Outwell Goya chairs, which were much more substantial, definitely comfortable and reassuringly expensive at RRP, though there deals to be had.

Can anyone suggest any other ones I should add to the list of possible suspects?

Thanks

I was going to suggest the Outland Catamarca ones. We've got a couple that are still going strong after about 6-7 years constant use. We use them all the time just sat out in the garden as well as when we go away, as they're so comfy. From memory we paid about 30 quid each for them from Winfields Outdoors, which always has offers on.

I'm a convert to Helinox chairs. Light, comfortable, portable, repairable, reassuringly expensive. Bought two of the "Chair Two" in Mondrian colours. Bloody lovely!

I've always found that the old-style flat-folding ones are more comfortable than the fold into a bag kind. This kinda thing:

And if anything goes on them it tens to be the springs, which are fixable/replaceable with bits of inner tube 🙂

I have a pair of long-back Vango Lightweight's that were £15 in Cotswold - a couple of years in and doing OK.

We've got the HiGear Vegas XL chairs, really comfy and seem to be well enough made. I did have to make and replace a foot after Download one year when the 6'10" serial chair demolisher had a go but that would be way beyond it's usual carrying capacity 😂

Helinox? Why on earth someone would fall for a £145 camping chair (free postage if you spend over £199! How generous. ). My rule is to avoid anything advertised on FB. It's all rubbish.

I sat on my mates for the evening and I was comfier sat on an upturned umbrella!

Didn't pay anything like full price for Helinox, and didn't see it on FB!

Vango Titan are ace. Not particularly small when folded away though.
