Coming out of contract, was going to go giffgaff with current handset for now, tmo locked s4 mini, looks like can do it for free, but dont know which sites are OK or safe o use, not sure what will happen but uncomfortable sharing imei code online with an unknown gangsta!
Presumably makes the handset easier to sell when i need new shiny too.

Still currently under contract? Won't they unlock it for free if you're all paid up?
if you're coming out of contract, just phone up your current provider and they will give you an unlock code for free. some have an online tool for requesting it.
Coming out in next couple of days, i thought they charged, especially if you're asking for a pac at the same time!
Wysiwyg thanks not sure if its the same for the s4 mini, it says doesnt work for ee, dont know if my tmobile contract makes it ee or not. I guess i could try.

Last time I asked EE I think I had to pay an administration fee - a few quid I think (out of contract etc)
