getting my own place soon and im after a different or alternative xmas tree.im thinking a (fake) one in black or maybe silver but its black i really fancy.anyone seen anything cool/different/ garish etc??
i just wanna be a bit different..

a few years back we went to the woods and found a 6 ft branch that had been blown down, took it home dried it out and then sprayed it silver, and put some decorations on it.

We had a cardboard cut out that the kids painted and stuck on the wall - it was a weird summer Christmas in Oz
Looked like a bit of trendy modern art in the end - sort of.

What Dawson said. It's very effective. We also have one of those curly hazels in the garden and we've cut twigs from that, arranged in a pot and hung decorations from it.
