... that’s in Europe and isn’t any of the following:
Barcelona, Rome, Côte d’Azur, Neapolitan riviera, Menorca, Venice, Greece/Greek Islands, Turkey

Looking for somewhere warm, less than 3 hours flight time, that doesn’t involve spending all day on the beach or at the side of a swimming pool. Some culture would be nice. Flights from Leeds or Manchester. Newcastle or East Midlands at a push

Majorca?

Plenty of biking opportunities, especially in the North.

Quaint old fishing villages for some culture 😉 In all seriousness, there are some decent old towns and cities worthy of a wander e.g. Valldemossa

Walking trails too.

Your criteria are pretty tough.

I’d offer up Corsica, but think flights will be limited, unless you fancy in-direct.

Dubrovnik? Croatia more widely, but might be over your 3 hour flight limit.

Yeah, Dubrovnik is under consideration.

I’m thinking of a week, with plenty to do so I’m not just lying around damaging my skin.
I’ve never been a beach bum , I get bored too easily.
The list I gave above is places I’ve already been, so no need to go again. I’ve done a few city breaks other than the above but I’m starting to feel a bit rushed on that kind of trip, trying to cram in as many things as possible in three days, there’s always something I’ll miss

Madrid is definitely under consideration too

Flights to Tarragona/Reus just over 2 hours from Manchester and usually cheap with Ryanair or Jet2, 40 minutes transfer to us. We have a range of road, gravel and mountainbikes for hire plus me as a guide. Mountain walking up to 1,400m, canoeing on the Ebro, Spain's largest river or at the coast 15 mins away. Spring is the best time to come, mid 20's dry and everything in bloom. This is us
Casa Tomillo
You'll be very welcome

Krakow.

It's lovely, cheap and more culture than you can shake a drumstick at.

Lisbon is a possible, thanks

Pistonbroke, thanks, I may look into that. Unfortunately Mrs_D isn’t a cyclist so anything bike-related is sadly out.
I’m no swimmer so scuba, snorkelling, surfing would be a tad risky too

Malaga or Seville, each of the 4 times I've visited Lisbon over several decades has, directly or indirectly, involved theft and the police really do not want to know. Seville has amazing Roman artefacts and it's HOT. I you want hotter, nip up the road to Ejuca, (?sp) the frying pan, and you will roast.

Remember that time three months ago people thought they could go somewhere. Ha, what was that all about?

Edit: Wait a minute, there was a new post before mine, I didn't resurrect this thread just to post that!
