I like the Louis CK, Marc Maron and Bill Burr stand up stuff on there

Sure there is lots more but I have a terrible memory

I watched the russian 2013 movie Stalingrad the other day I thought it was good.

And if you have hd, art of flight was a nice watch just for the scenery.

Have no idea, but a few people on twitter have mentioned the documentary Virunga on Netflix as being very good.

Yeah, noticed that the other night - I'm wondering if it's worth a watch or if I'd just end up wanting to strangle Von Trier. 🙂

i must say that the Netflix search function/recommendation list is a bit crap.

i'd not be wanting to pay 7 or 8 quid a month for it. fortunately, my cousin doesn't mind and she gave us her password. =)

Melancholia is good

It's slow, very slow - it's basically a film about depression

But it's not "shocking" like all the other LVT films - of the ones I've seen I enjoyed it the most

Upstream Colour

Post Tenebras Lux

Melancholia. The only bit that "shocked[s]" surprised me a bit was the "hole on the golf course" bit...

Tucker & Dale vs Evil

Those films. If you like long winded, non-linear, abstract stuff with subtitles. Or, Tucker & Dale if you don't.

Nesbo's Headhunters

One of the best thrillers I've ever seen. Bloody, twisty and tense.

Point Blank:French thriller which rattles along nicely, not the Lee Marvin classic

The Hunters and False Trail: Scandiwegian cop thrillers

Black Mirror (you've probably watched that already, but I missed it when it was originally on TV)

Into the Wild: about the chap who went on a solo expedition into the Alakan wilderness

Smashed: a drama about alcoholics!

Quite hard work finding decent stuff on Netflix.

I watched Orange Is The New Black as the missus started watching it and it is very good. So watch that, or get started on Arrested Development which is awesome.

Nonsense, watch with your significant others, we did, it's a love story - get a grip! Maybe not to be watched with the parents tho eh? I get that. We watched Ali G movie with the MiL - there were some awkward silences notably during the split cream donut scene *shudder*.

Just watched Frances Ha and loved it.

Second the McConkey recommendation. The 2 Nympho' films are good.

get a grip!

Alright, calm down! It's a lovely film. I wasn't suggesting he should only watch it alone, I just thought he might be in the mood for something a bit fruity, that's all! 😆

The Killing (Scandi version)

Key distinction. The US version isn't terrible, but they don't half pad it out...

Does anyone know of any app/site that allows you to search which Netflix territory a particular series/film may be available on?

We wanted to watch Godfather II over Christmas. It wasn't on UK Netflix, or US, and after some Googling we found it on Netflix Finland(!). Is there a one-stop-shop for finding that kind of thing?

House of cards +1000.
Kevin Spacey is fantastic in it, his character manages to be an abominable shit yet somehow quite likeable. Watch it.

Halo effect is quite good. 45min documentary which follows a bunch of 'gnarly' kayakers who jump off waterfalls and stuff but it focuses on when things go bad.
