I like stuff like Global Underground, Northern Exposure, and some of the Fabric compilations.

I prefer vocals to be more abstract than soulful, if present at all.

Really enjoying Sven Vath (more techno I know), Joris Voorn, Patrice Baumel. Sasha and Digweed (of course) and Dave Seaman more oldschool stuff.

Any good mix albums from the past year or two that people can recommend?

I don't use Itunes so I'm not sure if they're all on there - have a look for Sasha's Last Night on Earth episodes or Family Mixes series, Basil O'Glue's 'Momentum', Gai Barone's 'Patterns', Forerunners, Marsh, Jorg Monti, Jeremy Olander, Hicky & Kalo or Dave Leck. Dave Leck's so talented, really well crafted mixes. They're all fairly well on the progressive side, none of that car alarm big break build up kind of stuff. Steve Parry for a bit more prog/techno? Hernan Cattaneo's mixes are reliably good too.

If you Like Sven Vath have you got into Der Dritte Raum?

Probably best if you have no neighbours!

soz i dont have itunes but track 5/6/7 is considered epic in this household. It partly appears on NE Expeditions iirc. I would advise caution if driving and listening to Hale Bop

No idea if these are on I tunes, but they are on YouTube music, which is, IMHO the best platform for dj mixes. I recently cancelled my ytm subscription,  and went for a normal yt sub instead - it's 1£/month more for the same ytm access and no ads in regular yt.

Tick

Not necessarily prog, and not I tunes, but I enjoyed the Mura Masa and Barry Can't Swim BBC Radio 1 essential mixes.
They're both still up on the sounds app.

Also the X-press 2 misx from 2002 is up on the classic essential mixes on the sounds app. Great, still sounds fresh as a daisy.

Your taste is very similar to mine. The best DJ compilation/set ever recorded is Steven Mcreery, Limbo live at the Tunnel. It is on cd from 1998 so maybe not on iTunes. You still need it though !

It's not Itunes but this has been going most of the afternoon and it's so good. Especially the first 90 mins or so. Nicholas Rada who I'd not heard before, an opening set for John Digweed.
