You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Off for a week of r and r in the sun next week. In between surfing and riding my bike will relax with a good book.
Travel, sports stuff, anything vaguely interesting and factual as well as good fiction. Not 50 shades of grey thanks 😆
Anyone recommend something ?
The Secret Olympian - Anon
How Cav won the green jersey - Ned Boulting.
Broadmoor Revealed: Victorian Crime - Mark Stevens.
Obsessive Compulsive Cycling - Dave Barter (not read this one yet).
Anything by Dave Barter or Dave Millar. Both cracking reads.
Fiction - Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. Getting close to finishing it and it's been awesome. Just ordered Un Lun Dun by the same author to fill the gap.
Last chance to see - Douglas Adams.
Thanks.
REAMDE - Stephenson
11.22.63 - King

Dave Barter and Johnny Met above's are both good as is Ned Boulting's one above. All cheap as well.
Also look at Jill Homer's 3. Ghost Trails, her Tour Divide one and this week released for ~£1.50 some of her blogs etc. Also AL Humphries books
Away from travel how about Planet of the Ape's, different to film.
My real favourite of late is Ordinary Wolves by Seth Kantner set in Alaske of 70/80's early 90's. All about change on a population of Northern Alaska.
Someone on here recommended "The Penal Colony" by Richard Hervey which I greatly enjoyed. Otherwise Flashman
Just finished Matterhorn by Carl Marlantes, best ever Vietnam war era story i've read.
Travel, I've just read "Moods of Future Joys" by Alastair Humphries. A very inspiring account of the first leg of his round the world cycle ride.
"it's all about the Bike" by Robert Penn. A great book about the evolution of the bike.
"I, Partridge, We Need to Talk about Alan" Very funny!
For 'pop' science, I've read a few books by prof Richard Wiseman.
Hope that helps
