Looking at my AMZN order history, I've ordered these seven times now.

Any recommendations for similar strength copious crema beans?
Up to £16/kg. And from AMZN for convenience.
Many thanks
Thanks SLS - I've ordered a bag.
Is the lack of responses an anti-AMZN thing....
Probably that £16/kg for coffee beans is too cheap for stw
This is really good for £16.50 a kilo with the code WELCOME30

The Rave one above sounds up your street - quite syrupy and lots of crema.
I don't do amazon but I think you can get Union coffee on there which is alright.

Not anti per se, but if you look at the multiple previous threads on here about coffee, I'm fairly certain that very few of the regular coffee contributors are going to Amazon for their beans.
Plenty of local roasters about who need your business. I wouldn't buy beans off Amazon if they paid me.
As per poolmans post. I signed up for a subscription service from my local roasters. Free delivery and a mix of beans/grind etc.
Braziers in Wellington, Somerset. A nice range of coffee.
Typical STW, op asks for one thing and others say, nah, this is what you want to do. Sorry OP! 🙂
Well, moving away from Amazon, try Coaltown Coffee. Candlelight is my go to, but the seasonal specials are good.
The stuff I've been getting from Hasbean is brilliant.
£27.20 a kg+shipping.
Freshly roasted in Oxenhope this week.

Not Amazon, but I like beans from redber coffee roasters, and also from Manumit coffee in Cardiff.
The Manumit story is very compelling (they stand against, and employ victims of modern slavery, hence the name) but the redber coffee may slightly edge it for consistency....
Also not Amazon but Monmouth Coffee Organic Espresso is my go to normally
Also thanks @grum I'll try this one!

Get your beans direct(ish)...
Rave are good... Extract are good... and the Hebtroco is good as well... why not get some from all three in smaller bags...? Why buy a 1kg bag when first buying/trying new beans?
Hormozi, Indian cherry, c £14kg., choose your roast
We are using rave coffee at the minute, used hasbean too in the past
Both exceptionaly nice
Lowest acceptable £/kg is a poor way to buy things.
Do you buy beer on £/%ge. Actually don’t answer that. 🤦🏻♂️
Not all of use make a fortune out of ageing hipsters you know!
I used to spend £60-70 a month on decent coffee beans easily but I've had to economise lately so I just look out for offers on kilo bags from decent independent roasters generally at the moment.
No probs @vanilla83 - their standard is really nice for that price but all their blends are good, not tried any of the single origin ones yet
Can’t offer you any advice other than ditch Amazon and try a proper coffee shop like https://www.macbeans.com/
I’d rather pay a wee bit extra and support the independent roasters who build a relationship with the farmers who grow the beans, everything has a price but driving cost down to the bare minimum just doesn’t sit well with my gut feeling.
Wee Stoater from Unorthodox Roasters for me £29kg so each coffee @18g works out at 50pence each, I’m perfectly happy with that.
20 posts in, and I'm the first to mention that this very forum sells a very dark roasted coffee?
Union Revelation from Amazon might fit the bill. I quite like it.
I also use Causeway coffee here in NI
I have been buying from Happy Donkey for 15 years.
The quality is stunning, I love the Sumatran.

If you fancied a change and you're willing to up your budget a bit and not buy from Amazon then a lot of roasters will do 1kg for around £20 and many will have discounts for first time buyers or if you keep and eye out on coffee forums. You might find something you really like.
https://wogancoffee.com/product/colombian-full-roast/ £13.50 a kilo
https://wogancoffee.com/product/riposo/ also £13.50 a kilo.
Free post on orders over £30.
The Colombian is a darker roast than the Riposo.
Coffi Eryri was on the Singletrack support each other through lock down thread last year. We tried it out and now get through 2kg every 6 weeks @ £18/kg which, at £6 a week ,is one coffee shop coffee a week each. And it’s better than most coffee shops so we’re quids in. And very caffeinated.
Morrisons No4 strong £1.49 bag
Just so you know how ****g bad it can get 😆
For dark coffee to lighten it up I use double cream, but with the above it just stays black 😆 Im mixing them now with a lighter bean, just because I'm really not use to coffee this dark.
But in all honesty, it doesnt need to be £25 a bag.
Nowadays I just buy the strongest coffee there is, does not matter if they are Robusta or Arabica so long as they are strong and very dark roasted. Even those with strength 5 from supermarket are weak. I am going back to my traditional SE Asia coffee drinking style now with sugar but no milk. I drink about 1/2 a litre everyday.
Oh ya best coffee beans I have tasted is the one roasted in Leeds but I can't remember their name now. Coffee beans are from Central Africa.

Gaggia Direct do an Espresso Intenso which is pretty good, but a mate who works for them gave me a couple of sample bags of Caffitaly Ecaffe Corposo a good dark Robusta/Arabica blend, and Gaggia's own Espresso Intenso, which is another Arabica/Robusta blend, and produces a really hefty crema, though it isn't quite as full-on as the Corposo.
Neither will break the bank with offers on both at the moment.
I've started buying from a local company too.
They deserve a nice link:
I keep getting adverts of FB for Skull Crusher Coffee. Can't say it appeals to me:
Skull Crusher Coffee is the world's strongest coffee; the result of a premium blend of beans and roasting process chosen to give you the highest caffeine content while producing a full-bodied, smooth tasting coffee that hits hard. There's a reason why 1000's of customers love our coffee.
Will have to try some of those other sellers suggested up there ^^^
Currently sat with a cup of Rave signature blend thanks to previous recommendations on here. Very good. Their decaf is decent too.
Oh ya best coffee beans I have tasted is the one roasted in Leeds but I can’t remember their name now.
North Star? They’re damn good.
Their decaf is decent too.
All three of the Rave decaffs are brilliant.
Black Cat coffee was recommended to me, I’m pretty pleased so far. Incredible difference in taste vs any of the stuff you buy in the supermarket:

North Star? They’re damn good.
Not sure if it North Start but I was curious of the coffee beans from central Africa so gave a go and was surprised how good they were.
Brazil's Datarra Brussi (spelling) beans are also good but I noticed the size of the beans became smaller and the taste changed. Previously the size of the beans was larger and aromatic after brewed.
Second Coffi Eryri, would recommend
Cant say I can tell much of a difference between coffee beans. Nor can the wife, so I really ought to stop paying as much as I do for them! We get ours from Blendly Far too complicated for me TBH, so I just go by most popular blends and try them in 250g bags. You can blend your own. 1kg = £30 approx.
But wife sort of knows the owner
Came for the Amazon recommendations, left with suggestions for proper independents.
Got to love STW
Coffee Compass Mystery 13 - now at £14.50 a kilo, normally darker than average by third wave standards and good for espresso/traditional filter.

Pretty much the only “proper roaster” that does medium dark to mahogany roasts with good quality beans. Don’t try the Ethiopian Wild Highland, I still have nightmares about trying it when very hungover...
Black Cat Coffee chocolate point - lovely and a cheeky pinch of robusta - well worth a punt. Their Twilight blend is meant to be good as well.

Speak to Frazer at Frazer's Coffee Roasters in Sheffield www.frazerscoffeeroasters.co.uk, he'll sort you out with mail order if necessary. I've learnt so much from him it's unbelievable. The darkest one I've seen in the roaster is one for the local Indonesian restaurant, it's like coal; not sure what it tastes like though. His number is 07885445315 but don't be surprised if it takes him a while to answer as the roastery is fairly noisy.
Another alternative is to speak to Emma or Greg at Footprint coffee who supply me with beans every fortnight to alternate with Frazer's.www.footprintcoffee.co.uk
Don't forget that if you a brewing espresso with dark beans you may need to lower your brew temperature somewhat to get the taste you like.
